that adds some archtectural interest and warmth
to this residential livingroom.
This is a one-of-a-kind French-inspired ceiling
design that combines soft faux elements and metallics
to create an opulent beroom interior. The colors
coordinate with the rich silks used in the bedding
and window treatments.
This outdoor kitchen is now flanked with color
and texture that is unique to venetian plaster.

adds weight and interest to these spaces.
This mural gives the feeling of an open exit from

the magic of trompe' loeil.
This photo shows how a mural can grace the walls
of a dining room. It was done to create the look
of a historic mural complete with an "aging"
process over the top after it was finished. When
murals are chosen and completed properly they fit
the architectural style of the home and have a timeless
quality to them which allows the homeowners to enjoy
the art for generations to come.
Here is another view of this landscape mural showing
how it wraps around the entire dining room.
A bathroom mural depicting a view of Arizona's
landscape. Notice how the speakers in the wall are
camouflaged into the scene? A mural used this way
can help create a feeling of peace and tranquility
for the homeowner while they are relaxing in the
bath.
Another impressionistic mural in this coffee house's
main seating area. It depicts an evening view of

because they have the element of the unexpected
whereas a framed picture is expected and then often
overlooked.
These columns were all marbleized with oil paints
to give the illusion of solid stone. Painting cast
columns or fiberglass columns this way can save
the homeowner thousands of dollars over natural
stone columns while still giving the look of stone.
Also a skilled artist can create looks and types
of stone that are either unavailable or more exotic
in appearance than any natural stone.
This bathroom has a harlequin diamond pattern
all hand-painted with various techniques. At each
intersection a furniture tack was applied to give
some added detail and interest. Faux finishes done
this way can give the homeowner a one-of-a-kind
look where a wallpaper may give a similar look but
is produced in large quantities and is not custom
made. Faux finishes are generally priced comparatively
to quality wallpapers with installation.
